Meet Andi Javeri

Owner & Teacher

Andi Javeri Axis Pilates studio owner

Andi has spent more than 25 years coaching and training multiple sport disciplines to all age groups. Her expertise is providing a focused lesson, tailoring every session to help each client move towards achieving their goals.

It was in discovering Pilates that Andi finally found the one true method that encompassed all the focused movement, development, and progression that moves us forward in life. She was instantly obsessed. Her training started in London, England under the teaching and mentorship of Siobhan Paton; a distinguished Licensed Teacher Trainer from The Pilates Center (TPC). To deepen her training, Andi then moved to Boulder, CO to immerse herself in the Bridge program at TPC, renowned to be the most comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training program in the world.

Teacher Training is a privilege and a  passion – Andi is honoured to be a Host Advisor with The Pilates Center.

Certified since 2015 with the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP), Andi is now accredited to teach and offer CEC’s.

What is Pilates?

In Andi's words

Pilates is not just a series of exercises, it’s a way of life. The method is incredibly intelligent. It’s the most transferable movement practice I’ve encountered. This means it’s practical too.

Oh ya, did I mention that you feel better?! The kind of “better” that grows each day, in all the life things you do. It’s not like an adjustment of muscle or bone that feels good until the next day. It’s the “better” that allows you to move and breathe and feel different in more ways than you can imagine. Something to be experienced.

My clients’ “why” matters. I want to know why they are in the Studio, and what they want from their practice. It allows me to teach each person in a manner that supports them, that feeds them.

Do you want to be a better hockey player? Rock climber? Runner? I can help with that. If you’re training for a marathon, or general fitness, Pilates can be the best cross-training for you.
Do you want to feel better so you can play with your grandkids?
Pilates can help you feel better pre or post-surgery, pre or post-natal.
No matter who it is, we are all in the studio for a different reason, I want to help you achieve that.

Your success matters to me!

Because we can all feel better than we do. No matter what condition we are in. Pilates meets us where we’re at.
If you’re recovering from an accident or suffering from chronic pain, Pilates can be a safe way back to movement.
One of my new passions is finding a safe way back to movement. This could be an entire session visualizing our way through the movement, or a very slow, mindful approach.. whatever you need to get closer to movement.

Pilates is Accessible! I want to scream it from the rooftops!
To any and all movement abilities. Truly.
So often I hear “I’m not in shape enough for Pilates” or “I’m not flexible” it makes me cringe! Pilates was originally designed for folks who were bed-bound!

There are springs and straps and loops and bars to assist you to learn functional movement patterns. Said patterns make you feel better, not just after a class. This carries on in your daily life. It’s a re-patterning of movements. Connections in all ways. The more we re-pattern, the more it will become second nature outside of the Studio.

Don’t get me wrong, for those that want a physical and mental challenge, you’ll find it here.
This is the beauty of Pilates at Axis. Each lesson is thoughtfully tailored, very specifically, to each individual.

If there’s any reason you think Pilates isn’t accessible to you; please reach out.
